Children are entitled to 15 hours of free care from the term after their 3rd birthday. 30 hours of funding is available, subject to eligibility and availability. We also accept children with 2-year-old funding. Funding can be used for any session (except Breakfast Club).
Non-funded children are charged £6.50 per hour.
Invoices are issued half-termly.
All children pay £1.75 per day* for snacks and cooking for the morning and all-day sessions.
Fees are payable at the beginning of each half term.
The nursery accepts employee voucher schemes.
Illness
Unwell children should not attend nursery.
In the case of vomiting or diarrhoea, children MUST NOT attend until at least 48 hours after the last episode.
Please inform the staff of any infectious illness so that we can alert other parents if necessary.
Unfortunately, head lice and threadworms are common amongst young children. If you think your child may be affected, then please let us know so that others can be alerted. Treatment is usually very simple, but it will not be effective for long if no one else is checking and treating their child. The identity of the source of any outbreak will be kept confidential.
Clothing
Children will be issued a uniform before their admission.
Holidays
Please let the nursery know with as much notice as possible if your child will miss sessions due to holidays.
Funded children can only miss a set number of sessions per term. Please see a staff member for details.
Apart from very exceptional circumstances, fees are still charged during illness and holidays.
Inclement Weather
Whenever possible, the nursery will try to stay open, whatever the weather. However, if there is inclement weather and the First School shuts, the nursery will also need to close.
If there are severe weather conditions, please look at the news section on the Home Page of this site, or listen to the school reports on Wave 105 and tapastry.
Confidentiality
As a childcare setting, our work will sometimes bring us into contact with information of a confidential nature. Parents will have ready access to the files and records of their own child, but will have no access to information about any other child.
Staff will not discuss individual children with anyone other than staff members or the child’s parents/guardians.
Information passed to the manager or Key Person will not automatically be shared with all other staff. It will only be passed on with permission. Please also see our Safeguarding Children Policy.
The right to confidentiality is not absolute; the welfare of the child is paramount.
Complaints
If, in the unlikely event, you have an issue or complaint about any aspect of Colehill Nursery, you should first approach your child's key person or the manager. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can express your concerns in writing and escalate them. Our full Complaints Procedure can be found below.
If you have any general feedback, please feel free to contact the manager at any time.
